BRISBANE 2032 MAIN STADIUM

SECURITY RISK ADVISERS FOR THE 2032 OLYMPIC & PARALYMPIC STADIUM IN BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND

Australian firms COX Architecture and Hassell, along with Japanese firm Azusa Sekkei, have been appointed as principal architects by the Queensland Government to design Brisbane’s new Olympic Stadium in Victoria Park, which will be the centrepiece of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, within a wider games precinct. (The image shown is a COX rendition of pre-concept design planning).

Intelligent Risks (IR) is delighted to be the specialist security advisers for the design team. We will provide security risk management advice and security inputs for concept, schematic and detailed design phases of the project. Other deliverables will include a Security Risk Assessment (SRA) to evaluate the risks to the stadium, patrons, staff, and visitors once it is operational. We will also prepare a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) report recommending measures to minimise criminal and antisocial activities, and detailed Hostile/Harmful Vehicle Mitigation (HHVM) advice to help guide landscaping and structural design decisions.

IR has worked with COX Architecture on numerous similar projects in Australia and internationally, providing security design inputs for their stadia and venues projects in Adelaide, Ahmedabad, Doha, Hobart, Perth, Qiddiya, Sydney and Townsville.

This is the eighth Olympic and Paralympic main stadium project on which IR personnel have provided specialist security advice (previous projects were Sydney, Athens, Beijing, London, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Paris).
