INTELLIGENT RISKS WINS A PRESTIGIOUS AUSTRALIAN EVENT AWARD: ADVISORY COMPANY OF THE YEAR

The IR team was privileged to be named the Advisory Company of the Year at the recent 2023 Australian Event Awards.

The award citation by the judges stated:

“IR is an undeniable leader in your field with unprecedented experience that is evident by your continued reengagement by clients in world class events…working with many different agencies to deliver multiple events over a long period of time demonstrates a high level of communication and a strong level of trust between yourselves and your clients.”

“IR’s approach achieves outstanding results….your leadership when facilitating multi-agency collaboration is a clear strength and is directly responsible for the success of your events.”
“In today’s world, risk management for all events, big or small, is paramount – yet typically a thankless job. IR, an Australian owned company, is doing wonderful things on the world stage. Congratulations for your continued success.”

This is undoubtedly a testament to the IR teams contribution to several key event projects, including the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games; the Rugby Australia bid to host the 2027 Men’s and 2029 Women’s World Cups; the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid; and the UK Sport bid to host the EURO 2028 Football Tournament in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Chief Executive Neil Fergus and senior manager William Dent represented IR at the awards. Moreover, Neil was also honoured to be invited to represent the events sector and present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Simon Balderstone OAM.
