SECURITY ADVISERS FOR DESIGN AND COMMISSIONING OF CENTRAL PLACE SYDNEY

The Central Place Sydney project is the most significant development in Sydney’s central business district in more than a decade. This A$2.5 billion Frasers Property-Dexus development will transform the western side of Central Station with significant new commercial buildings and public realm improvements. This reconnected precinct will enable the City of Sydney to create a third new major civic square in Sydney.

Central Place will feature two commercial towers, respectively with 37 and 39 stories. Between the towers, a low-rise sculptural building will anchor the project and enliven the precinct at civic square and street level.

In 2020 IR was engaged to provide specialist security support for the Concept Design, Development Application and Post-DA (Tender Design) phases of the project.  Deliverables, to date, include the CPS Security Risk Assessment; CPS Security Strategy; CPS Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Strategy; and CPS Security Concept Design Report (SCDR).  We also developed the security design inputs for the Integrated Distribution Facility – a unique subterranean loading docks and waste management facility that will also support the neighbouring Atlassian development and the future Central Station Over Station Development.

We are developing the Precinct-wide Integrated Distribution Facility (IDF) Security Operations Plan; and supporting the security tender reviews and commissioning processes prior to project completion in 2026.
