IR has been engaged by Arts Queensland since 2017 to support security and crisis management for the Brisbane Cultural Centre. This iconic precinct includes the Queensland Museum, Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and the State Library of Queensland.

IR was initially engaged to complete a comprehensive review of the Precinct’s security and Crisis Management framework and overlay. This included a Security Risk Assessment, Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) review, Physical Security Review, Capability Gap Analysis of policy, process and procedure and support to the development of the guarding arrangements. As part of this review, IR drafted the Security Management Plan and Crisis Management Plan for the precinct and conducted an extensive review in communication and coordination arrangements across the precinct.

IR continues to work closely with Art Queensland and precinct stakeholder through the delivery of an annual training and exercise program for the precinct Crisis Management Team and Incident Management.
